From the collective exhibition Slippery Slope, reflecting on doubt and its direction, artist Mafalda Costa proposes a moment of collective creation of charms: small symbolic objects that can store intentions, memories, or desires. Each participant will have the opportunity of making their sculptures in beeswax, resorting to manual and modeling processes. We invite people to bring small personal, valuable, natural or artificial objects to include in their pieces.
Mafalda Costa is a visual artist who works and lives in the city of Porto. Her practice develops from speculative fictions about plants, dreams, mythology and magical objects. She explores craft and spiritual practices through drawing, sculpture and installation, foregrounding natural materials.
